Mark Nuaimi

Great. Which session is this upcoming training?
MCR' phone

https://www.csusb.edu/academic-technology-innovation/instructional-continuity
Mark Nuaimi
12:54
Yes Please
MCR' phone
14:28
this will be a fluid website that will be updated as we develop more resources

16:29
creating sub-headers and dividers help students understand the structure of the course.
MCR' phone
19:26
the 24/7 support is technical support only, not design. if a student contacts support about something related to the course, a ticket will be created for ATI

25:38
the email function from Bb is a one way communication. meaning that the message goes from Bb to the email account of the recipient. if the student replies to that email, the response will go to the faculty email account, not Bb.
MCR' phone
26:33
any questions thus far?
MCR' phone
34:59
we have the license to VT, and it is already available in your Bb course
Mark Nuaimi
37:40
Can you show where he linked that application from once again??
MCR' phone
38:10
yes, I’ll have him show it again.
Mark Nuaimi
39:36
Got it!! Thanks!
Mark Nuaimi
40:54
So are students going to have to go through the activation process as well?? Is there a HelpDesk for this component??
Mark Nuaimi
42:57
How robust is VoiceThread if we all pile onto their service??
Mark Nuaimi
44:04
So I just tried to establish this in my Blackboard for the Spring 2020 course and got a Launch Error message
MCR' phone
44:46
students will not have to be authenticated (let me double check)... and not a lot of people are going to be using VT, but it run in AWS, and because this is asynchronous you won’t have issues with upload or of
Bo Xu
47:43
For the VoiceThread, after I add text, audio, or video to my PPT on Blackboard, can I save all of them for the same course next year? Can I save them to my local computer?
MCR' phone
49:32
each VT is unique, and you can choose to keep it open for other students to access, or create a copy of your VT for use in the next quarter
Michael Chen
50:36
Yes Bo Xu, you can reuse them but previous students comments are visible. So it might be better to copy and make a new one.
Reveka Shteynberg
51:04
Can we disable the ability for students to comment on the VTs?
MCR' phone
52:36
you can, but you would be using it as a presentation tool and not as a collaboration tool but yes.
Mark Nuaimi
56:20
Can you discuss the availability of the quizzes after they are completed and graded … for example, I might want them to have access to the graded quizzes as study guide for midterms or finals.
MCR' phone
57:25
hello Bo Xu, yes. you can edit the VT as much as you want.
Reveka Shteynberg
01:00:36
All/none of the above --> All/none of these.
Reveka Shteynberg
01:02:31
Is there a way to randomize all but ONE or TWO questions (e.g., you have 50 multiple choice questions and you randomize the questions and responses for each, BUT you also wan to keep the essay question(s) as the first question for all students for every version)
Reveka Shteynberg
01:17:13
Here's a great guide for those who want basic shortcut keys for word, online, etc: https://i.pinimg.com/originals/82/4e/b0/824eb024211cf47e097664a7bc4a84be.jpg

Bo Xu
01:20:16

Reveka Shteynberg
01:20:27
Just wanted to re-ask: Can we disable the function that allows students to comment on VT?
Jonathan Brooks
01:21:09
yes, in VT you can configure the playback settings and specify commenting
Reveka Shteynberg
01:21:17
