Not all research involves IRB

Ethical conduct in research is regulated by the federal Office of Research Integrity.

The IRB's scope is limited to violations of participant right or wellbeing, but does not have oversight over research misconduct, which refers to "fabrication, falsification, or plagiarism in proposing, performing, or reviewing research, or in reporting research results."

IRB and IACUC are also regulated federally and they are explicitly excluded from the Research Misconduct polciy

Anyone knows?The SOTEs office sent email to instructors with the response rate as well as the current (?) ratings (out of 6.00). At the same time, the SOTEs team encourages instructors to encourage students to complete the SOTE. I believe the SOTEs are still open for students to complete it?

Is there any further information on the COVID situation on campus?

Any reasons that instructor can see the current SOTEs rating that might affect faculty teaching and grading policy?

Just want to clarify that the SOTE Team is not the same group of individuals as the ad hoc SOTE Instrument Committee that is working to on changes to the form.
