online class visitations use the same format. I have done them in the past.

I have evaluated online courses the same way.

Jo Anna or Ann, would either of you be willing to describe the process? E.g. how you obtain access to the instructor’s Blackboard site for the course?

I have given access when I have a class visit by adding them to my Blackboard and using their Coyote ID

Yes, the faculty allows access for the visitor and the visitor reviews the materials and interaction between faculty and students

I ask the person for Blackboard access. I do the pre and post meeting also

The instructor will usually grant you either guest or student assistant role in Blackboard to be able to observe or get into the BB class

summer sotes are also optional for all

I think it will help for the visitor to be able to observe the actual class session if the class to be visited is synchronous

@Senator Anderson. I agree with the other posts. I get access to Bb course as Observer (so I cannot see student grades), and any other platforms that are used for student engagement in the course (e.g. Slack, PlayPausit, etc.).

Can there be more explicit consultation of pre-tenure faculty about these policies?

or other ideas to support pre-tenure faculty that are not under consideration.?
